Our Story
... is yet to be written, but has started as an experiment in flash fiction in word and image. Conceived by Melissa Sterry and created in collaboration with Joshua Puppe, The Future in Flash™ will explore scientifically-plausible futures, which unfolding as an ongoing and inter-related series of illustrated climate fictions, will be released through social and other media including film, animation, and audio.

Having worked at the coal-face of transdisciplinary design, research, innovation and enterprise for umpteen years, Melissa today earns her crust as a design scientist, systems theorist, and futurologist to oodles of exciting companies about the world. A serial founder of creative projects spanning myriad genres, The Future in Flash is one of her latest collaborative experiments into the potentialities of new methods, models, and mediums.

An award-winning Masters of Architecture graduate from Nebraska, Joshua Puppe is passionate about architecture, illustration, film, animation, and narrative design. By combining these passions he constructs new methods, ideas, and narratives that contribute to the contemporary discourse surrounding the design of architecture, entertainment, technologies, and environments of the future.
